You’ve probably seen something like the following chart when you search up which MBTI types are the smartest, most gifted, or have the highest intelligence or IQ.

The INTX types are at the top of this list because what they tend to focus on is usually what constitutes intelligence and what is measured by traditional IQ tests: abstract conceptual logic and problem solving. But how does this translate to the real world? Well, not always in the best way. This is why the question of “which types are the smartest” is not an easy question to answer.

IQ vs. the real world — happiness and success

This IQ test result by no means constitutes that these types fare the best in the world or are the most successful or happiest types, of course. In fact, quite conversely, ESFP and ESFJ types tend to statistically be the happiest and they are close to the bottom of the above chart.
