A few days ago I wrote a post about the benefits of mindfulness for those higher in neuroticism (i.e. if your thoughts and emotions tend to be more on the negative side, if you tend to worry about the future and ruminate on past events more than enjoying the present moment, if you have chronic stress, anxiety, and low or erratic moods, etc.).

Along with the mindfulness and behavioral therapy workbooks I picked up, I came across an interesting and unique app by the name of Synctuition.

There are many meditation apps, but this one caught my attention because it uses musical sounds in the background and its effects are more subconscious. Most meditation apps I’ve come across require your full attention and have you consciously follow along with their message or instructions. I prefer subconscious learning because it feels more natural, similar to acquiring a language when you’re young vs. consciously working to learn it when you’re older.

Because I prefer to listen to music as meditation and visualizing my own fantastical worlds unguided*, I thought this app would be better suited for my needs.

*As an INFP, I constantly daydream fantastical worlds and creative scenarios in my spare time. It has relaxed me and allowed me to fall asleep quickly ever since I was a child. I only recently discovered this is a form of visualization meditation. This has always been my form of engaging in
