How to Tell the Difference Between INTJ and ENTJ
If you’re having trouble differentiating between the two
The I and E versions of the MBTI types are the most interchangeable, so at times it can be difficult to tell them apart. Both INTJ and ENTJ are highly goal-oriented and long term, big picture thinkers. The best way I’ve heard their role described is:
“NTJ → helping people and getting angry at things.”
But what are the differences between the two of them? The following are a few key things to look out for when trying to determine if someone is INTJ vs. ENTJ.
What do they do when they don’t have a clear path forward?
ENTJ tend to always keep moving: act first, analyze later.
INTJ tend to only act when they have a clear path: analyze first, act later.
How do they determine their path?
ENTJ tend to keep running into walls until finally one gives way.
INTJ tend to spend time finding a single wall to run through and run into it for as long as it takes to break.
