Ellijay, Georgia
An underrated beauty
Ellijay is a small town in northeast Georgia, located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It is a great place to visit for its scenic views, its charming small-town atmosphere, and its abundance of things to do. It is known for its natural beauty and as a tourist destination, with many bed and breakfasts and antique shops. Ellijay is also home to a growing artist community, with several art galleries and studios. Visitors can also enjoy hiking and camping in the nearby Appalachian Mountains, or fishing and canoeing in the Coosawattee River.
There are a few annual events that take place in Ellijay as well, such as the Georgia Apple Festival in October and the Christmas in Ellijay celebration in December. If you’re looking for a charming small town to visit, with plenty of activities and things to see and do, be sure to add Ellijay to your list!
